GOOD TO HAVE YOU ON AIR

Your station.
Your world.
One workspace.

From the first signal to the next contact. Bring your maps, conditions, clocks and logbook together in a desktop that feels like home.

Local-first · Free for noncommercial use · No server setup

YOUR WINDOW TO THE WORLDAROAC / DESKTOP

A little more perspective. A lot more possibility.

Your world at a glance, with the context that matters to your station.

BUILT AROUND YOUR STATION

Less switching.
More operating.

Keep the big picture in view and the details within reach. One installed application, with your own local database.

01 / EXPLORE

The world, on your desk.

Move between a flat map and globe. Explore the grey line, save station locations, and find repeaters with map overlays.

02 / UNDERSTAND

Read the conditions.

Bring solar activity, provider-modeled MUF contours, weather forecasts and radar into the same view. More context for your next contact.

03 / CONNECT

Keep your world in time.

Custom world clocks and a shared timeline make it easy to compare time zones and follow the changing day–night boundary.

04 / REMEMBER

Your contacts. Kept close.

Log QSOs, organize contacts and export ADIF. Profiles and your logbook work offline; fresh maps and observations need internet.

Local-first by design. Your core station data lives on your computer. No automatic cloud upload, no separate server to manage. Local data is not encrypted; protect your device and backups.

BEFORE YOU GO ON AIR

A few useful details.

Is AROAC free?

AROAC is free for noncommercial use and sharing of unmodified copies. It is source-available, not open-source. Code modifications and commercial use require prior written consent. See the AROAC license for the full terms.

Do I need a server or a separate runtime?

No. Desktop packages bundle the interface, local database engine and application logic. No separate Node.js, Java, .NET or server setup is needed.

What works without internet?

Local profiles, saved records and QSO logging work offline. Fresh imagery, weather and propagation observations need internet. Cached observations may be available and are labeled when stale.

How do I install on Linux?

Download the AppImage, make it executable in your file manager, then launch it. If FUSE is unavailable, use --appimage-extract-and-run. See the download availability before installing.

Where can I get help or report a problem?

Read the application documentation or open a GitHub issue. Include your platform and AROAC version, and remove private station or account information from screenshots.

A callsign. A connection.
A world worth exploring.
